We want to ensure we answer all your questions and that you are the right fit for our program. It's important to mention qualifying factors is you must organized, sales driven, have a passion for area rugs, enjoy participating in Social Media, have a strong follow through in answering emails and calls as well as have a sense of urgency for your clients.
If we both decide this program is a good fit for each other, you will be asked to take our online training course. This online course will ensure that you are familiar with the different manufacturers we carry and why we carry them, how to search for products with our online catalog of area rugs & broadloom, how to pick the right size and color of rug, how to care for the area rugs, information on how to create custom rugs in sizes and shapes and provide an outline of the pricing and discount structure.
We will also train you on how to use our room visualizer where you can upload a picture of the clients room and showcase how the rug will look in their room before they buy. This is a great selling feature and helps prevent returns with added shipping costs.
We can’t tell you how many times customers have told us they purchased a rug, lugged it home (rugs are heavy), placed the rug in their room, and either the size was wrong or color was off and they had to return it or ship it back to the store. We never want our customers to have that grueling experience, that is why they hire a Rug Goddess!
Perhaps the biggest benefit our program offers interior designers is the ability to sell additional design services to our customers, while receiving continuous leads.
Over the years we have found that when a customer buys and area rug, they often need additional design services including furniture, home accessories, lighting, painting, faux finishing and more.

Cost: $1,250.00
Requirements
- You must have an existing interior design business with a current resale certificate for your state.
- Pass the Rug Goddess online training and certification program
- Attend an additional two hour training session with Rug Goddess.
- You must own a laptop or tablet to show customers rugs in their home and communicate with our team for support.
- Lastly, purchase a minimum suggested presentation of area rug samples.
