Kaleen is an international maker of handmade area rugs and broadloom carpet, founded in Mumbai, India in 1971, with its United States office and distribution center in Dalton, Georgia. Kaleen is known for hand-knotted Luxe rugs, award-winning outdoor and hand-tufted rugs, and wool broadloom that can be made into custom rugs and runners.

About Kaleen
Kaleen was established in Mumbai in 1971 and opened its United States operation in Dalton, Georgia in 1997. Kaleen operates its own rug and broadloom factories in India, and it has won industry awards for its outdoor, hand-tufted, and flatweave rugs. Over the years, Kaleen has added the Luxe line of high-end hand-knotted rugs and broadloom, the Hook and Beam broadloom line, and PureLife, an all-natural broadloom collection.
Kaleen offers designs in room sizes, runners, rounds, and squares, which makes it a favorite of interior designers. I'm proud to offer Kaleen to my clients.
My Favorite Kaleen Luxe Collections
Hand-knotted wool
The Kaleen Luxe Pamir collection is hand-knotted by artisan weavers of fine 90% wool and 10% cotton. The Darya collection is hand-knotted of 100% blended wool with an open back, in a soft wave pattern inspired by ripples in sand. These are heirloom-quality rugs built to last for decades.
Sikri: color, character and custom sizes
The Kaleen Sikri collection is hand-knotted of a cotton and wool blend with a sun-washed look, much like a beloved vintage rug. It comes in earth tones, rust, red, spa, grey, and multicolor designs, and Sikri is also offered in custom sizes. It is one of my favorite collections for transitional and eclectic homes.
Soft modern wool
The Kaleen Jara collection is 100% wool in an all-over linear pattern in neutral taupe and grey, named for the Hindu goddess of household happiness and prosperity. The Femina collection is soft and plush, about 1 1/16 inch thick, with a loose linear pattern. The Keros collection is handwoven of an all-natural blend in a crisp ivory and black design.

Kaleen Broadloom and Custom Rugs
Kaleen broadloom is carpet woven on a wide loom and sold by the roll, so I can have it cut to your exact size and finished into an area rug, round, square, or runner. Kaleen wool broadloom is typically 13'2" wide, with select styles at 16'4", and Kaleen now produces oversized broadloom up to 22 feet wide. Kaleen also expanded its custom program in 2025 to include custom shapes.
