Stanton Corporation was founded in 1980 by Sy Cohen in New York.

Quick overview of the company: In 1995, they acquired Royal Dutch Carpet. A few years later, in August of 1999, continuing to grow, they expanded to Dalton, Georgia, relocating into an 80,000-square-foot distribution center.

Over the next decade they acquired Antrim Carpets USA, LTD and Rosecore a division of S. Shumacher (which was rebranded). With all the new products, they were running out of space, so they moved again in 2015 to a new 227,000-square-foot distribution center in Calhoun, Georgia. Shortly after, they acquired Crescent Carpet & Hibernia Woolen Mills.

Stanton Carpet Corporation offers consumers top-of-the-line products with fashion-forward, timeless designs. Not only do they offer broadloom that can be custom-cut to custom rug sizes, but they also offer collections of ready-made area rugs, roll runners for stair runners & hall runners, ceramic tile, and decorative waterproof vinyl flooring, which was introduced a few years ago. As of 2018, the corporate headquarters is in Woodbury, NY.
