Stanton is a premium American carpet and rug company known for wool and nylon broadloom, ready-made area rugs, and stair runners. Founded in 1980, Stanton sells through the design trade and select specialty retailers, and its broadloom can be cut and finished into an area rug or runner in almost any size or shape you need.

About Stanton Carpet

Stanton was founded in 1980 by Sy Cohen and has grown into a family of well-known carpet brands. Antrim joined Stanton in 2007, Rosecore in 2010, Crescent in 2016, and Hibernia in 2017. That is why you will see Antrim, Rosecore, and Crescent names on many of the rugs in this collection. They are all part of the Stanton family.

Stanton offers broadloom that can be custom cut into rugs and runners, collections of ready-made area rugs, and roll runners for stairs and hallways. Many ready-made rugs are stocked in standard sizes like 6x9, 8x10, 9x12, and 10x14.

Stanton is sold to the trade and through select specialty retailers rather than mass-market stores. I have been an authorized Stanton retailer since 2018, which means I can order any Stanton broadloom for you, not only the styles shown on this page.

My Favorite Stanton Collections

Hand-loomed wool rugs

The Stanton Shazia Stripe and Palermo collections are hand-loomed of 100% wool. Shazia Stripe offers soft tonal stripes in flint, slate, and bone, and Palermo pairs a plush field with a simple cut pile border. The Antrim Las Palmas collection is hand-loomed of premium 100% wool and comes in ready-made 6x9, 8x10, and 9x12 sizes. The Antrim Ezra premium wool collection and the Deva Defined collection add even more neutral choices.

Wool flatweaves

The Antrim Zambezi collection, part of the Fine Weave line, is hand-loomed of undyed 100% wool in a subtle stripe. The Antrim Loma flatweave is 100% wool and works as a stair runner or a custom rug. From Crescent, the Ticking Stripe collection is a hand-loomed flatweave of 100% New Zealand wool, and Tattersall and Boston Bay bring tailored plaids and stripes.

Performance nylon

For busy family rooms and bedrooms, the Stanton Splendor Smitten collection is 100% soft nylon rated for high performance. The Rosecore San Pietro collection, part of Habitat Luxe, is hand-loomed of UV stabilized soft nylon with a dense striated surface.

Indoor-outdoor and natural fiber

The Crescent Soliman Bay collection, part of the Cabana line, is hand-loomed of UV stabilized polyester, which makes it a great choice for covered lanais and porches. For natural texture, the Stanton Mochima collection is 100% jute in khaki and wheat tones.

Stair runners

The Topkapi runners from the Savoy collection are made of hand-spun New Zealand wool in rich traditional patterns. The Harry and Anastasia runners from the Royal Sovereign collection are New Zealand wool, and Anastasia is face to face woven. Broadloom styles like Zaza Wave, Xanadu, Theodore Stripe, Gotham Cheetah, King Cheetah, Stillwater, and Kariba can be made into a stair runner or a custom rug. See my stair runners page for more.

Custom Sizes, Rounds, Squares and Runners

The real magic of Stanton is broadloom. Broadloom is carpet woven on a wide loom and sold by the roll, so I can have it cut to the inch and finished on the edges into a rug that fits your room exactly. Stanton broadloom comes in rolls 13'2" or 15' wide depending on the style.

• Custom area rugs in any rectangle size, including very large rugs for great rooms.
• Large round rugs like 9, 10, and 12 foot rounds for dining tables. See my round rugs.

Caring for Your Stanton Rug

• Vacuum regularly. Use suction only on flatweaves and loop styles to avoid snagging.
• Blot spills right away with a clean white cloth. Never rub.
• Rotate your rug every few months so it wears and fades evenly.
• Use a quality rug pad under every rug to prevent slipping and extend its life.
• Consider ForceField protection for wool rugs in busy rooms.
